Our years of internal experience in vac truck manufacturing has made Option Industries a leader throughout western Canada’s oilfield industry, and has allowed Option to offer three locations to help serve you better. Drayton Valley is our main manufacturing facility which is 38,000 square feet that supports a full machine shop, welding, forming division, mechanical, millwrights, electricians and programming. Nisku is our hydraulic controls and service center facility which is 10,000 square feet with mechanical, millwrights, electricians and programmers and our Calgary location is strictly programming.

Option Industries offers full retrofits with minimal down time as we are concerned about having your unit back and running for your customer as fast as possible. Option does everything in house, we never wait for any vendor to hold us from delivering your unit as soon as possible.

Straight Vac Truck Unit

We design our single compartment Straight Vac Truck to make those short or long load transfers. We offer Hibon and Robussci Blowers for your Vacuum pumping System with a wide CFM Range.

Option Industries has 70 plus years of experience in the mobile vac truck industry and its manufacturing. This Option unit is built to TC 407 / 412 specifications and is B620-09 code compliant. All Option Industry mobile builds come with a current national safety mark.

The Option Straight Vac Unit is the leader in the standard vac units built in the industry today. We have designed a simplistic user friendly vac with high-end components to maximize return on investment with minimum down time.

The Option Straight Vac truck is available in single axle, tandem axle and tri drives.

Straight Vac Specs:

Primary Shut-Off: 6″ heavy duty internal shut-off with 8″ stainless steel float ball/cage assembly and neoprene rubber seat mounted top front of debris tank.

Isolation Valve: 6″ air open/spring fail close butterfly valve mounted between primary shut-off and cyclone. Isolation valve operated from air switch located at operator station. Valve is glycol heated.

Vacuum/Pressure Piping: 6″ no-disconnect piping. 6″ back pressure check valve. Composite loop hose from upper to lower pipe. Two 2″ knuckle pressure relief valves and lever action brass vacuum breaker valve located at operator station.

Divertor Valve: 6″ Four-Way airflow divertor valve located at operator control station for vacuum to pressure changeover.

Tank Level Indicator: Rotary float gauge with 6″ stainless steel float ball. Teflon U-Cup packing, grease fitting and recessed sight cage assembly with grab handle indicator located on driver’s side front of tank.

Filtration System: 6″ high efficiency cyclonic filtration system with bottom swing clean-out door and purge/flush port connection. 1″ brass drain valve, aluminum camlok fitting and 16″ washable inline stainless steel fiber element for protection of blower.

Suction Valves: 6″ MZ brass piston gate valve with air open/spring fail close actuator. Throttle control valve and sand pipe located at eight o’clock position on rear door. Additional 4″ (straight-thru) valve located at four o’clock position on rear door. Valves equipped with aluminum camlok fittings and glycol heat collars.

Discharge Valve:  6″ MZ brass piston gate valve with air open/spring fail close actuator. Throttle located at six o’clock position on rear door. Valve equipped with aluminum camlok fitting and glycol heat collar.

Silencers: One 6″ chamber-type discharge silencer and one 6″ absorptive-type intake silencer. Silencers are light-weight design with 1″ brass drain valves and glycol heat collars.

Hydraulic Drive: Chelsea 823 Airshift PTO mounted on truck transmission with direct mount LINDE hydraulic piston pump and direct mount piston motor bolted to blower. Tandem mount vane pump to run vibrator, rear door and dump hoist functions. PTO air engagement switch and hour meter mounted in chassis cab.

Hydraulic Reservoir & Cooling System: 90 gallon steel construction hydraulic reservoir with temperature probe, sight level glasses, fill breather cap, internal canister-style charge/return filters. 12DC fan type cooler with auto engagement and manual override switch.

Hydraulic Control: DANFOSS valve bank for control of hydraulic dump, rear door, vibrator, bumper lift and power beyond for vac pup trailer. Separate engagement control for blower operation. Remote weatherproof 12VDC toggle controls also located at rear deck for enhanced safe operations.

Gauges and Instrumentation: Glycol filled gauges located at operator station includes main and auxiliary hydraulic system charge/pressure gauges, blower hydraulic motor charge/pressure gauge and airflow system vacuum pressure gauge. Additional vacuum pressure gauge located at rear door. Includes tank-up warning with dash mounted amber warning light. Hydraulic low oil level and high temperature warning lights located at operator control station.

Hydraulic Dump System: Full length hydraulic dump sub-frame with Mailhot 4-stage hydraulic hoist, slide stop system and U-Bolt anchored to truck chassis frame. System comes with full open hydraulic rear door, six wing-nut door enclosures, hydraulic safety counter balance valve, safety pressure flow directional control valve, ratchet safety lock mechanism and safety service post for door open and tank-up maintenance operations. Includes dash mounted tank up warning indicator lamp.

Tank Vibrator: Hydraulic vibrator assembly mounted on bottom side of tank with diverter channel and reinforcement pad.

Side Trays: Non-dumping steel hose storage trays with heavy duty high off-set support, ratchet strap securement clips and hose guide brackets. Includes upright HSS construction tubing hand rails.

Rear Bumper: B620 certified rear bumper system with rear door wing-nut access steps, chain steps and grating. Includes beaver tail hydraulic lift option for vac pup in tow.

Storage Lockers: Deep vertical storage locker, steel construction with aluminum checker plate door mounted on driver side of unit. Includes internal shelves, pegs, glycol bus heaters and 12VDC lights.

Deck Storage Cabinet: Tall horizontal double door slope back storage cabinet, steel construction with aluminum checker plate doors mounted on. Driver’s side deck checker plate doors mounted under deck on driver’s side front of tank. Includes glycol bus heater and 12VDC light.

Underdeck Storage Box: Two steel construction storage boxes with doors mounted under deck on driver side and passenger side front of unit.

Cab Control Console: Mounted in truck cab for land spreading operations. Includes blower, dump hoist and rear discharge valve controls.

Electrical: LED lighting package to comply with MVSS requirements. Complete with weatherproof wiring harness system, junction box and main panel control box. Soldered and silicone lined shrink tube waterproof connections. All connections protected with breakers. Two elevated stop and turn light modules located on rear door. Rear LED work lights, one at operator control station and one on P/S side try.

Paint: Entire tank and vacuum system sandblasted and then primed with two coats of Endura primer and two coats of Endura paint in two colors. Rock guard coating applied to bottom third of tank exterior, rear bumper, skirt and side tray.

Combo Vac Specs:

Fresh Water Tank: Attached to front of debris tank, 20″ manway with ladder access and grab handles, 2″ fill port with fill port riser pipe, 2″ pump feed line and vacuum water loading provision with air actuated butterfly valve. Bottom of tank utilizes 2″ NPT drain port with air-actuated valve shut off. All ports area glycol heated with aluminum camlok connectors with vents to atmosphere through fill ports.

Blower Specifications:Positive displacement vacuum blower. 1440 CFM free air rating at 28″Hg maximum vacuum. Air injection cooling system with discharge manifold. Blower package mounted on modular steel construction stand with anti-vibration isolators and flex connectors.

Hydraulic Drive: Chelsea airshift PTO mounted on tractor transmission with direct mount Line or Danfoss hydraulic piston pump & direct mount piston motor bolted to blower. Auxiliary circuit. Additional tandem mount vane pump to run vibrators, rear door and dump hoist functions. PTO engagement switch and hour meter is mounted on console  by driver’s seat.

Hydraulic Reservoir & Cooling System: 150 – 200 gallon steel construction hydraulic reservoir with temperature probe, sight level glasses, fill breather cap, external bot on charge/return filters & 12VDC fan-type cooler with auto engagement thermostatic control and manual over-ride switch. System unitized on tractor wet-kit assembly.

Hydraulic Control: Four spool Danfoss valve bank for control of rear door, vibrators & 4-way diverter valve. Single separate control for blower operation. Provision for operator control station ad D/S rear of trailer.

Tractor Mast: Vertical Mast connection between tractor & trailer . Composite wire reinforced jumper hose for vacuum/pressure airflow with camlok connection.

Gauges and Instrumentation: Glycerin filled gauges located at operator station includes main hydraulic system charge/pressure gauge, blower hydraulic motor pressure gauge and airflow system vacuum pressure gauge. Additional vacuum pressure gauge located at rear door. Tank up warning light with dash mounted red warning light. Hydraulic low oil level and high temperature warning lights located at main operator control station.

Side Tray & Fenders: Non-dumping aluminum construction hose storage bays with heavy duty high off-set supports, ratchet strap securement clips, wind deflector shields & 1/2 round stainless steel hoop fenders over each tire group. Trailer includes 3/16″ polished upright hand rails from front of chassis to forward area of landing gear.

Rear Bumper: Transport Canada TSD 224 & B620 compliant rear bumper system, elevated wing-nut access steps and welding grating. Full rear skirt and dirt shield with access holes for suspension wand wash. Tow hook located at bottom center of skirt area.

Electrical: LED lighting package to comply with MVSS requirements. Complete with weatherproof wiring harness system, junction box and main control panel box, soldered and silicone lined shrink tube waterproof connections. All connections protected with breakers. Two elevated stop & turn light modules located on rear door. LED work lights, two center, two on tractor wet-kit and one LED work light at operator control station.

Paint: Entire tank and vacuum wet-kit system sandblasted then primed with tow coats of primer and two coats of paint in two colors to match customer fleet specifications. Endura paint products utilized. Rock guard coating applied to bottom third of tank exterior, rear bumper and skirt.

Tank Liner: Tank includes customer spec internal liner system.
